As a leading information collection platform for defective automotive products in China, QIN received 2,243 tire complaints in 2018, an increase of 24.81% over the same period last year, involving 2,338 faults and more than 30 tire brands. During the same period, 10 tire companies accepted and responded to consumer complaints. The number of complaint responses was 1,808, and the response rate of manufacturers was 77.3%.
For automotive products, quality observation still needs to be combined with multi-dimensional evaluation, and tire is undoubtedly one of the indispensable important components. As a supplier of spare parts, the quality of tire brand products will not only affect the overall reliability of automotive products, but also become an independent evaluation dimension.

According to the vehicle quality network data, in 2018, 2,143 tire complaints were effective, an increase of 24.81% over the same period last year, of which 2,338 were related to faults, an increase of 21.3% over the same period last year. From the perspective of complaint trend in 2014-2018, except for complaints affected by collective complaints in 2016, the overall upward trend is maintained. It can be said that domestic consumers are paying more attention to tire safety.
In terms of regional distribution, 31 provinces, municipalities and municipalities directly under the Central Government all complained about tire problems in 2018, of which Shandong and Jiangsu ranked the first two, and the number of complaints reached more than 200. From the point of view of the quality problems reflected, the failure problems are mainly concentrated in the aspects of tire cracking, peeling and bulging, among which tire cracking undoubtedly becomes the most concentrated complaint point.
As we all know, tire manufacturers will provide matching tire products for different types and different uses according to the actual needs of various automobile enterprises. Throughout the current domestic market, many brand models, in 2018, tire complaints of self-brand vehicles were the most, 799 complaints accounted for 37.3% of the total. In addition, the number of tire complaints of American and French brands followed closely, reaching 444 and 341 respectively.
